Fight Demons & Cast Them Out With Friends
Vade Retro Exorcist, brought to us by Foresight, is a multiplayer PVP Horror game. The main objective of the game is to exorcise the demon or kill the exorcists. Play with friends in private lobbies or search for a game in this interesting and scream-inducing game. You play as three different characters: a nurse, a tech guy, and a priest whilst trying to identify the demon and exorcise them.
May the Power of Multiplayer Compel You

One of the best things about Vade Retro Exorcist is multiplayer. Personally, due to inactivity, it’s better to have a group of friends to check this out. However, multiplayer is incredibly fun. After selecting your character you must enter the location. The game currently has a few maps: Asylum, Manor, and a house. When entering the location players must try and identify any suspicious-looking NPCS as demons will possess an NPC and must blend in. Once identifying the demon players must work together to defeat him using the skills and spells that each class brings to the table.

The NPCS traverse around the house but have limited interactions with players. As a result of this, it’s easy to spot the differences between an NPC and a demon player. The player then must stop the demon from leveling up and gaining their indestructible phase. The indestructible phase does what it says on the tin and for a solid minute players must avoid the demon or most likely face death. Once the phase is over players can go back to trying to vanquish the demon. Overall, the gameplay for the characters facing the demon is intriguing. With straight-out classes which are basically DPS (Tech guy), Tank (Priest), and Healer (Nurse) it’s easy for players to acclimatize.
Hail Skills

The variety in skills for each character keeps it fresh. For example, the Tech guy has the skill that he can call in a dog to patrol the area and alert players to the demon’s presence. Additionally, the priest has a move in which he hits his staff off the ground and stuns the demon. Whilst the nurse can drop healing items and recover players from being downed faster. Overall, playing to vanquish the demon has an element of fun and skill to it. Players must work co-cooperatively to solve game missions. These are smart ways of getting the team to work together as they involve solving puzzles and collecting items whilst being hunted and evaded by the demon.
In The Name Of Freaky, Fun & Faith

The demon was exceptionally fun and fluid to play. The demon must possess an NPC, blend in, and then attempt to kill other NPCS on the map to level up and gain new skills. Whilst doing this the demon can scuttle around the area up and down walls and do skills such as turning off the lights.
The demon has a host of different skills to kill NPCS as well. These include a cracking bones skill similar to Vecna’s in stranger things, strangulation, latching onto a player and smacking them repeatedly, and telekinesis to throw a player down. The demon seems to not automatically have an advantage over players. As a result of this, players and demons have the same chance of winning the game. The player’s ability to blend in as the demon is of the utmost importance. Demons also most work quickly in killing NPCS, regaining health on demonic altars, and trying to build to their invincible stage. The demon can win if they defeat all players trying to exorcise them.
Deliver Us From Abandoning Devs

Whilst getting hyped after purchasing the game, I did some digging into the discussions. The majority of the fan base feels the devs have taken a step back after Vades release and have stopped patching, updating, or addressing issues with the game. I was worried expecting a buggy mess. However, it’s not unplayable, and as previously mentioned, it is an advantage to already have a squad to play with. The Devs haven’t released a road map about the development of the game or given any hope to players. As a result of this, there is an extreme lack of activity when searching for a game. Personally, for me, I feel they may just be working on other projects or working on a big update for Vade Retro Exorcist.
