For the second year in a row, Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest surprised us with some great news. Also for the second year in a row, Xbox system owners will be able to try out several games that were featured today.

Microsoft announced that the Summer Game Fest Demo event will once again make a return, starting on June 15 and running through June 21. For that week, players will be able to try out 40 great indie titles on the house through downloadable demos in the Xbox marketplace.
Keep in mind that the demos are temporary, so once June 21st runs out, they’ll “evaporate”. However, most of them are based on near complete versions of each game, so you’ll get an idea of what they have to offer when they release this summer. You’ll also be able to provide feedback to developers, depending how you feel with each demo you try out. It’s a good way to help them get ready for their releases.
The full list of games will be revealed on the 15th. However, here are some highlights that you won’t want to miss:
Tunic- take on this unique isometric action-adventure game, and see how your fox warrior holds up against monsters and other dangers, while locating secrets and doing some exploring!

Echo Generation- Trip back to 1993 and try out some classic turn-based action in this fun supernatural title, where kids have to take on mysterious beings and save their beloved city.
The Riftbreaker- Ready for action/RPG goodness? Prepare to take your mecha-suit places as you build up bases and destroy enemies!
Lake- Solve this narrative mystery surrounding a quiet person in 1986, guiding her fate based on your decisions.

Sable- This Journey-esque game looks fantastic, as you travel a mysterious cel-shaded desert either on foot or with the help of your Gliding vehicle.
We’re looking forward to next week, are you?
