We finally got the next patch for Elden Ring, which was aimed to adjust the stability and balance of gameplay. We also finally get some extra content with the fan-favorite Patches, who before had a shorter quest line that honestly could have been better. These changes can hopefully benefit the current state of PVP, which is honestly not in the best spot right now for the new From Software title, and PVP is one of the biggest staples for the franchises.

Notable Balancing Changes
The biggest changes as far as balancing in leveling will be the FP and Stamina growth rate in lower levels. A lot of players had to pick and choose due to higher vitality being essential in this game, especially given that the meta is 40 minimum. However, due to this, a lot of people had to sacrifice where to dump other stats, and one of the biggest stats sacrificed is endurance and FP. Madness is also receiving a nerf in build-up time.
Another notable change is the increase in attack speed for colossal weapon users. Strength builds will be able to get more damage in, but suffer a longer recovery time. Two-handed damage will also increase significantly.
Many incantations and sorceries have also received a buff, such as a cast speed and FP reduction cost. Some of these spells needed it desperately to be viable, like Rennala’s Full Moon and Crystal Barrage. However, there is one spell that was actually nerfed, which was Swarm of Flies, a spell used by many to beat the legendary Malenia.
What to Do
For many of these changes to take effect, players will need to level up, activate Godrick’s Great Rune, or reequip equipment with status effects. Hopefully, the changes will bring positive changes to PVP and PVE. There were many more changes to note, and they can be found in the patch link above on the official site. The patch is live and should be downloadable now!
