As we all know, Elden Ring is the king of inflicting damage and suffering upon its users. With the newest ”Souls” game gaining so much traction, a small voice is heard in the background.
”Help Us” it says ”It’s too hard!” it echoes. As the prisoners and maidenless make their way through the game, sometimes dying from a simple torch smack. With the cries of the undying, Elden Ring has introduced a few changes that will make it more ‘fun’ for the maidenless.
The introduction of Bubble Suits makes it so that when a player is hit, they will return the attack automatically. As an undead hits your bubble suit, you’ll notice his weapon will bounce off of you and quickly cause himself damage as the bounce is uncontrollable. This bounce can affect friendlies as well if they happen to slice and dice a little too close to your bubble. The Bubble Suit does indeed stay on for the duration of the game and has been known to keep you from falling off the edge as well.
With this addition, players who die from constant uncontrollable damage will be able to enjoy the game with this add-on activated.
As part of the Easy-Mode update, Elden Ring has also added NPCs! They have only introduced one as of the update, but more will be coming with friendly-loving faces that you know!
Elden Ring NPCs
The Elden Ring Gods have heard your pleas, your cries for help and they will not go unheard! Praise the sun! With the new update, easy-mode will introduce NPCs that will come in and help you with your quests! Now some of you are thinking, this is too much you can’t give out this much help. But you would be wrong! We can! So let’s introduce our first NPC. His Stats don’t matter as he can never die, and his strength will double yours for the duration of the game.
Thomas The Tank
Elden Ring has heard your need for the cute and adorable, the evil and the precious, PETS! Pets will be making their way into the game and there will be quite a few to choose from right away. The first one that is available to sneak peek at, is Panda Burr!
Panda Burr, as you can already guess, is a Tank Frost Pet. But don’t let that fool you as he can also use necromancy! So you die during a boss fight because you forgot to put your Bubble Suit on, Panda Burr will twerk his booty and you’ll be rezzed with a +10 to damage and +100 to faith. With his add-on of ‘Euclapytus leaves’ he will sit behind you and eat, letting you gain +25 Damage and +25 Health for every second you take (or are supposed to take) damage.
Last but not least, Elden Ring has released alongside its Easy-Mode, Boss Boops. Boss Boops were introduced to see how quickly a player could stab the boss in its rear end. As the player makes their way around the Boss, the Bubble will activate and glow alerting the player of an action they can take. The Boop. The Boop activates and the player lunges out with its fore-finger ‘Booping’ the bottom of the Boss. This action makes the boss one-hit and an instant win for the player.
It’s exciting when games listen to their players and really dig deep and dive into the unknown. Hopefully, in the future we will see more games adopt an ‘easy-mode’ such as Getting WoW Mythic Drops, Getting 2 Crown Wins in a row via Fortnite, getting an 8K Basement Hook for Dead By Daylight, and let’s not forget, the auto-magic carpet for the original Aladdin.
