Gamers and horror fans are in awe at the introduction of the next chapter to hit Dead By Daylight; SAW Rebirth. Redesigning what we know of the connection between SAW and Dead By Daylight with an all-new and frightening look. The game developers described this new Tome as a mark for change, which could bring some new exciting looks to some classic favorites.
The Dead By Daylight SAW tome is the first ‘fully licensed tome’ in the game and boasts to have more accessible content through a new rift. In this new SAW Rift, players will be able to earn over 60 cosmetic items including the 12 new outfits being released with the tome. There are Charms as well as a ‘Book of SAW’ collection for Amanda Young also known as The Pig and Detective Tapp. These two outfits will be an interest to SAW fans as they will both be outfits debuted in the original SAW movie.
Amanda’s Rebirth
The Pig, Amanda, comes into this tome updated with a brand new look. One that truly sets the psychological fear vibe. With a new mask, a crown made of a broken reverse bear trap. Her hidden sleeve blade, this outfit would not be complete if not for one thing. The robe her mentor wore, the robe of Jigsaw. This entire outfit screams of violent and disturbing nightmares, just what the doctor ordered.
Along with Amanda’s rebirth, we have Detective Tapp getting a very unusual, and casual outfit. Tapp’s pork-themed BBQ outfit will be the talk of the pool party. This new outfit gives players a glimpse of what his life could have been. Had he given up his obsession with catching Jigsaw. A theme shirt wearing, BBQ king.
Unfortunately, as some players have hoped, we will not see Tobin Bell’s character be introduced or hinted at with the Tome. There is still plenty of time to mix in more with the lore, but as it stands, we will have to get by with all the cosmetic opportunities.
SAW
With this new Tome, many horror fans of the SAW series will be overjoyed with how much Dead By Daylight is pushing into this series. All we can hope is with the rise of glory this one gets. That there will be many more ‘fully licensed series’ coming up. There are so many characters, maps, and worlds that we can discover through the one thing that binds us, fear.
